Nothing inspires dread like a letter from the IRS.
As an Enrolled Agent, I am licensed to represent taxpayers who need help understanding and untangling complicated tax issues.
Don’t go up against the IRS alone.
If you’ve ever had a problem with your taxes, you know that sick feeling you get in your stomach when you see that white envelope with IRS logo.
I speak IRS.
I know how to work with the IRS. I speak their language. I know how to hit pause on the penalty meter while I figure out what happened and come up with a game plan.
I can do IRS representation throughout the U.S. And I represent clients dealing with state tax concerns all across the United States with the exception of Oregon and Puerto Rico.
Protecting hard working people
Tax representation is an area most accountants avoid. In fact, less than 5% of the those who could represent their clients actually do.
I love representing my clients before the IRS and state revenue agencies. Protecting hard working people from the intimidation tactics used by government tax collectors is my passion.
Problems I’ve helped clients resolve:
- Didn’t file one or more tax returns
- Filed a return but didn’t pay taxes
- Unable to pay some or all of the taxes owed due to personal hardships or other reasons
- Relied on a business partner or family member who didn’t file proper taxes
- Didn’t pay required sales taxes (which is actually a felony in some states)
- Resolved audits
- Had IRS liens removed from real property
- Had clients removed from the collections department

Never blindly trust an ex. Or a business partner. Or anyone for that matter.
You don’t have to do everything yourself, but you should always enter financial partnerships with your eyes wide open.
One of my first representation cases involved a business owner who had trusted her ex to file two years of tax returns. Guess what? He didn’t. Ever wonder what happens if you don’t file your taxes? The IRS will kindly file a substitute return for you. That substitute return will include all of your income from every source along with the standard deduction.
Here’s another thing you might not know. When you owe money to the IRS and don’t make other arrangements, they can do things to make your life hard. They can garnish your wages, seize your bank and brokerage accounts, put a lien on your real and personal property, and, in extreme cases, take your property for sale.
When my client received a tax bill for everything her business made, offset by zero expenses, her whole livelihood was at stake. You can see why she showed up at BTM in tears.
The first thing I did was to contact the IRS and get her case put on hold for 30 days. After that, I prepared the tax returns for those two missing years, which revealed that the amount she actually owed the IRS – with all her appropriate deductions — was less than $5,000. I negotiated a payment plan that she could afford, and she was back on track.
Don’t even think about not paying sales taxes.
Sales tax belongs to the state, and they don’t like it when you don’t give it to them.
This client owed the state more than $400,000 in unpaid sales taxes that he’d thought someone else in his company was handling.
Sales tax is not something to mess around with. You may collect sales tax, but it’s not yours. It belongs to the state. And if you don’t pay it to the state when you’re supposed to, it’s considered stealing. In this case, it didn’t matter that my client and his three companies had all declared bankruptcy. In Georgia, there’s no bankruptcy protection for not paying sales tax. My client was not just facing a huge debt, but also felony charges and a possible arrest.
When he came to BTM, I was able to stop further collection and enforcement efforts. I got $110,000 in penalties dropped and negotiated an offer in compromise.

What Clients Say
I will say this to everyone and anybody that you’re a blessing. Thank you so much for helping and guiding me through this process.
Mom and I are both tearing up over here. You have given me hope and I really appreciate that.
Saved my life
Let me just say Mr Perry is the person to do business with regarding taxes. He basically saved my life. I love his confidence in trying to find a solution. I have no knowledge of tax terminology. Mr Perry broke it down and explained in detail in a way for me to understand. He is very thorough and efficient and what he does. If I ever have hiccups he’ll be the main person that I will consult with.

The only one I trust to handle my taxes
Mr. Perry (no relation) has been my accountant for 3 years and he has been spectacular. Any issues I have had with the IRS, he has resolved them. He’s very professional and I only trust him with handling my taxes. I highly recommended Mr. Perry to anyone looking for personal and business taxes.
